Stone Fireplace Mantels and Surrounds
Ornate European surrounds to clean modern frames, hand-carved to your firebox dimensions in marble, limestone, travertine and sandstone.
A stone fireplace mantel is the focal point of a room, and we carve complete mantels and surrounds to order — from ornate European surrounds with carved corbels, moulded shelves and floral detail, to clean modern frames with a simple honed beam and leg panels.
Most mantels leave our workshop in marble or limestone. White and cream marble takes fine carving and polishes to a bright classic finish; beige and grey limestone has a softer, warmer character that suits French and farmhouse styles and is often specified with a honed or tumbled surface. Travertine and sandstone surrounds are available for rustic settings, and we also produce granite hearths where heat resistance is the priority.
Each mantel is built around your fireplace opening: send the width, height and depth of the firebox plus a reference image, and we make the legs, header, shelf and hearth to fit. Surrounds are dry-fitted in the factory, numbered for reassembly and crated with the carved faces protected. We supply single statement pieces for private homes and repeat designs for hotel groups and developers.
